MARINER Oversized Original Graphic Novel

“Have you ever spoke with someone so crazy, so charming, you believed their every word?” MARINER: An Ancient Rime is the story of a centuries old seafarer who wanders far over land and sea to spread his warning.

Inspired by Samuel Taylor Coleridge's original lyrical masterpiece The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, this graphic novel expands the themes of Choice and Regret through a more contemporary lens, with a cast of characters throughout the architecture of time: the 30's, 80's, 1800's, today, and beyond.

More than The Mariner, this story is The Crooner, The Renter, Seat A23, The Wedding Guest, and a conversation with divinity. Their fears are realized in surrealist imagery in a form that ranges from comic book to visual poem. It’s a collaboration of Michael’s inspired storytelling (and lettering) and Jonathan Marks Barravecchia’s inimitable artwork.
